LOWER HEYFORD & CAULCOTT
KGF Committee of Management
The Committee of Management of the King George’s Field met during the week commencing 2 November 2020, via exchange of e-mails and, having taken note of the latest government advice relating to the coronavirus pandemic and the decision by the government to ‘lock down’ from 5 November 2020 to 2 December inclusive, and having sought and received the advice of the Football Association relating to non-elite football, have decided that, with regret:
the building known as King George’s Field Community and Sports Centre was not to be used for any social or sporting or other gatherings , and
the open space known as King George’s Field is only to be used for personal exercise by groups of no more than two persons (or more provided that the persons involved are within the same ‘bubble’ as one another) until further notice.
It was decided that the building known as King George’s Field Community and Sports Centre should remain closed between the 5 November 2020 and 2 December 2020 inclusive.
The Committee was pleased to note that the children’s playground on the King George’s Field may remain open, but reminds all users and their parents that all appropriate precautions must be taken.
The meeting noted that these decisions would negatively impact a number of organised functions and expressed its great unhappiness at having to take this decision which, under the circumstances, was unavoidable.
The meeting agreed to further review both the decision and the resolution during the week commencing 30 November 2020 in the light of information available at that time.
