Local Policing

Local Policing

Thankfully we live in an area that is generally very safe and has a relatively low crime rate. However, crime and anti-social behaviour does occur now and again so we all need to be on the lookout at all times.

Our local police force is based in Bicester and covers a large number of villages which surround it. As a result, they simply cannot be everywhere at every time and therefore they rely upon being informed of any issues that they need to be aware of.

We have excellent relations with the police and they have always stressed to us that it is very important that they are informed whenever you see anything that is suspicious, dangerous or may in some way be illegal or anti-social.

So please, in order to help the police to produce a safer and crime-free area, can you report any such event to the following e-mail address:

bicesterruralnhpt@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

We have great experience of filing reports in this way and we know from that that you really are contributing to solving crime before it takes hold. Don't worry if you think it is only a minor item or unlikely to reoccur: let them be the judge of that.

The officers there are very keen to hear from you so please report anything that is out of the ordinary. To make it easy to find in your address book why don't you add that address now?

Of course, if there is immediate danger or if you witness a crime in progress, you should call 999 or if the matter is less serious call 101.

Equally, if you do not have access to e-mail or the internet you can call 101 at any time or, if the matter is dangerous, call 999.
